MAHASKA COUNTY — Following some yo-yoing temperatures, southeast Iowa can expect a return to form with snowfall in the forecast for Friday and Saturday.
The National Weather Service issued a report Thursday afternoon warning about rain and sleet on Friday, turning to snow Friday night and Saturday. There will be brisk winds throughout the weekend. Travel through southeast Iowa may be hazardous.
According to the weather service, there will be a light glaze of ice Friday afternoon and evening
The current snow forecast shows Mahaska County can expect between 4–6 inches of snow. Sunday has a slight chance of snow. Monday should be partly sunny, with a high in the mid-30s.
