OSKALOOSA — William Penn’s Heart of America Athletic Conference football crossover game against Baker, originally scheduled for next Saturday, Sept. 19, has been postponed. The decision for the postponement was decided by each institution’s athletic directors on Friday, Sept. 11 at the request of Baker.
“This decision was made out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of our student-athletes,” Heart Commissioner Lori Thomas said. “The conference and teams are adhering to the outlined guidelines in the Heart Promise.”
Delaying the game will allow student-athletes to return to the field of play in the safest manner possible by allowing the appropriate time for practice and physical reconditioning. The make-up date for this contest is set for Nov. 21, at 2 p.m.
