Tyler Miller didn’t know if he was going to have a senior season. Now that baseball has returned, he took advantage of it by having a big week while helping the Indians get out to a 3-1 start.
Miller proved to be a tough out at the plate as he would go 6-for-10 (.600 BA) on the week with a double while walking three times to boost his on-base percentage to .714 on the early season. When he got on base, he used his speed to lead the team with three stolen bases and five runs scored.
He has been his reliable self out patrolling center field for Oskaloosa and after having a rough first outing on the mound against Pella Christian, he bounced back with three hitless innings against Grinnell.
Miller and Oskaloosa (3-1, 3-1 LHC) travel to Knoxville (1-2, 0-1 SCC) on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
