Spencer Tucker ended the year with 15 of his 18 rounds in the 70s

OSKALOOSA — Spencer Tucker (Jr., Oskaloosa, Iowa, Business Management) was recognized as one of the top linksters in the league as the all-Heart of America Athletic Conference men’s golf team was announced Wednesday.

Tucker, who was one of 15 student-athletes selected, is now a two-time recipient after also picking up the honor in the 2018-2019 season.

The top five individuals at this week’s Heart Championships automatically received an all-Heart award, while the remaining honorees (one of which was Tucker) were chosen by using the GolfStat Individual Adjusted Scoring Average ranking.

The junior helped William Penn to four top-half tournament finishes.

Tucker finished the campaign with a 75.8 stroke average in 18 rounds of play. Of his 18 rounds, 15 were in the 70s with a low score of 72 coming at The W at the Preserve. The junior also posted a low 36-hole score of 145 at The W event, while managing a low 54-hole score of 226 at the Southern Plains Intercollegiate.

Tucker posted four top-10 efforts with a season-best finish of second at the Graceland Invitational.

Pablo Hernandez of Missouri Valley was named Heart Player and Newcomer of the Year, while Chris Winkel of Grand View was selected as Coach of the year by his peers.
