OSKALOOSA—The William Penn men’s basketball program has gained two positions nationally as the NAIA released its third Division I top-25 poll Wednesday.

WPU (15-1, 9-1 Heart) is up to #3 with 204 points, its highest ranking since exactly one year ago when it was #2. The Statesmen have extended their top-25 streak to 41 consecutive polls.

William Penn is the only Heart of America Athletic Conference program in the top 25, while Clarke is #27 and MidAmerica Nazarene is #32.

The two lone undefeated programs of Georgetown (Ky.) and Mid-America Christian (Okla.) are #1 and #2, respectively. Georgetown owns all nine first-place votes with 219 points. Westmont (Calif.) and LSU Shreveport round out the top five.

The Statesmen travels to Fayette, Mo. Wednesday to face Central Methodist in Heart play at 7:30 p.m.
