PELLA — Oskaloosa took an early lead on Pella in the first game of Monday's doubleheader and never looked back to close the regular season.
Meghan Moorman led the opener with her first career home run as the Indians won the first game 3-1 then captured the nightcap 5-2.
Pella tied the game in fourth on a walk, hit and an oskaloosa error. But the Indians score twice in the sixth and Hayle Hacker retired the last six batters she faced to close out the win.
Ashley Kindley had a double and a single for Oskaloosa while Sophia Dykstra had two singles and one RBI. Maddie Haines had a single and a run scored while Macie Krier scored a run.
Hacker struck out 10 Pella batters as she allowed four hits and walked three.
The second game saw Fella get off to the early lead, scoring twice in the first inning.
Then Hacker sat down the next 18 batters she faced to hold off the Lady Dutch.
Hacker goes to 17-8 on the season as she gave up just two hits and struck out two.
Ava Vande Wall had two singles, drove in a run and scored once to lead Oskaloosa. Moorman, Haines and Taylor Wills all had a single as Kindley and Abby Braundmeier both singled and scored a run. Krier and Kiara Bjornson both scored a run.
Oskaloosa ends the regular season with a 22-14 overall record and a 10-1 mark in the Little Hawkeye Conference.
It opens Class 4A regional play Thursday against Grinnell at 7 p.m.
