INDIANOLA — Three of Indianola's six hits were for doubles with two producing runs in a 3-0 victory over Oskaloosa in Little Hawkeye Conference action Monday night.
Grady Haines had a two-run double in the fourth inning and Gabe Zwanzinger chipped in an RBI double in the sixth for Indianola's three runs.
Oskaloosa was limited to six hits — all singles — in the loss. Noah Van Veldhuizen led Oskaloosa with two hits while Rian Yates, Cole Kraber, Charlie North and Nik Dykstra all had one hit.
Van Veldhuizen, one of four Oskaloosa pitchers in the game, took the loss as he went two innings, allowing two runs on three hits and struck out three. Yates started, going the first three innings. He gave up two hits and struck out five. Colton Butler went 2/3 of an inning while Kale Bollinger pitched 1/3 of an inning. He allowed one run on one hit and walked three.
