OSKALOOSA—The Oskaloosa freshmen boys won handily 54-18 against Centerville Tuesday, pushing their season mark to 3-0.

“The challenge was to get out to a quick start and boy did they just do that,” said head coach Bryan Kime.

Centerville was set in a zone defensively the whole game trying to get the Indians to force shots, but that strategy proved unsuccessful. The Indians remained patient and shot the ball very well.

Jakob Stek was 6 of 12 with 16 points and Logan Hoskinson scored 15, including 3 of 4 three-pointers, to lead the charge offensively. Stek was also 3 of 4 at the free throw line.

Waylon Bolibaugh also added 9 on 4 of 5 from the floor.

Stek had nine of the teams 14 steals on the defensive end.
