WASHINGTON — Things did not go well for Oskaloosa's football team Friday night.

Washington scored on seven of nine possessions against the Indians and coasted to a 62-12 rout at Case Field.

The Demons scored the first six times they had the ball and led 42-12 at halftime.

Oskaloosa tallied a pair of touchdowns in the second quarter as Will Schultz threw two touchdown passes for the Indians.

The fist one went to Tyler Miller for 27 yards with the second going to Iszac Schultz for 58 yards.

Oskaloosa did get one more fist down than Washington — 15-14 — but the Demons had 405 yards of offense to the Indians' 268.

Oskaloosa also was whistled for eight penalties for 72 yards with some of the penalties nullifying big gains on plays.

Miller ran for a team-high 46 yards as the Indians rushed for 74 yards on the ground. He also caught a team-best six passes for 84 yards and a TD. Iszac Schultz hauled in two passes for 60 yards and a touchdown.

Schultz was 12 of 25 passing for 183 yards and two touchdowns and one interception.

Wyatt Krier led the defense with 11 tackles.

Oskaloosa begins Class 3A District 7 play next week at Fairfield.
