OSKALOOSA—The Indians’ bowling team bowled in the Newton Invitational on Saturday.
The boys encountered some adversity with a tough bowling pattern, but they still managed a third place finish.
Head coach Tony Witt said, “We still need to work on our spare shooting and our mental game to make sure we hang in there when the oil pattern is a tough one.”
Jared Smith was the most consistent bowler on the day, with two 191 games and a 382 series.
The Osky girls finished in sixth place and struggled on the tough oil pattern as well. Nikki Parlet bowled her best two game series of the year with a 357 series and high game of 182. Rylee Witt had high 2nd game with a 178. The girls are showing significant improvements on the lanes with their scores.
The Indians bowlers’ next match is the Champion Bowl scheduled for December 12 in Ottumwa.
