OSKALOOSA — With Dallas Center-Grimes winning the Class 4A girls basketball title last week, the Little Hawkeye Conference released their all-conference teams with six area girls making the two squads.
Oskaloosa’s Presley Blommers and Pella’s Kylie Tauke were both first team selections while Oskaloosa’s Dasia Foster, Pella’s Mia Warner and Kennedy Van Vark and Pella Christian’s Joslyn Terpstra were all earned second team honors.
Blommers, a senior, was the top scorer in the conference this season. She would average 18.4 points on 37.5% shooting from the floor and 29.8% from three to go along with 4.4 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game. Blommers also led the LHC with 3.1 steals per game.
Tauke, a senior, was the leading scorer a Lady Dutch team that finished a win away from state. She averaged 12.2 points per game on 33.8% shooting from the field and 31.7% from three to go with 4.7 rebounds, 2 assists and 1.7 steals per game.
Foster, a sophomore, was the top rebounder in the LHC and a double-double machine. She finished the year averaging 12.5 points on 44.5% shooting as well as 13.2 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game.
Warner, a senior, nearly averaged a double-double for the Lady Dutch this season. She ended up averaging 8.4 points on 40.9% shooting to go with 8.6 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 2.3 steals per game.
Van Vark, a junior, was Pella’s best shooter and second leading scorer. She would average 10 points per game on 36.4% shooting overall and 34% shooting from beyond the arc. She also chipped in 2.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.4 steals per game.
Terpstra, a senior, led Pella Christian in scoring this season. She would average 12.3 points per game on 28.9% shooting from the field while also adding 4.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 2.8 steals per game.
Oskaloosa’s Lydia Van Veldhuizen, Pella’s Hailey Van Vark and Tristan Gordon and Pella Christian’s Faith Kacmarynski and Anna Eveland all earned honorable mentions.
