Matchup history

The history of this series has been favorable for Pella Christian. They have won all six meetings since 2010 including a 56-14 victory last year. The Eagles have won by four or more touchdowns in all six of those meetings.

One key player for Pella Christian

Coming off of a big week, Cody Boender could be in store for another big game on Friday. But PC may need his senior leadership more than anything. It will be easy for the Eagles to look past the Tigerhawks with their recent history and CM’s record this season. Boender will get the troops in order and make sure they get the job done and get some momentum going into the postseason. Not to mention Pella Christian’s leading rusher and tackler should get a good number of carries and make several key plays defensively.

Keys for Pella Christian

Don't look past Colfax-Mingo. Pella Christian still has to go out and execute. Colfax-Mingo has been held to 5.3 points per game in the last four weeks, the Eagle defense should be able to set the tone early and go from there. The playoff implications are interesting for this one. PC is currently in a three-way tie for the district lead with Pleasantville and Mount Ayr. With the new playoff format, 10 teams get first-round byes with the nine district winners getting automatic byes. With the potential of more than 10 district winners, that could make things interesting when figuring out byes. All Pella Christian can do is win and then wait and see how the dust settles.
