INDIANOLA — The Eagles hit the road on Tuesday to play their 5A conference foe in Indianola. The Indians dominated the first set but Pella Christian fought back and were right there in the final two sets before ultimately losing 3-0 (25-12, 25-22, 25-23).

The first set was one-sided in favor of Indianola but Pella Christian would make adjustments and were just a few points away from winning the second and third set despite being out-killed 35-19 and with the Indians scoring 16 aces.

Five different girls recorded kills for PC led by Avey Amelse’s seven kills, six digs, one block and one ace.

Sarah Gritters had five kills while Trinity Vos had three and Morgan Heinen and Kyah Chamberlin both had two. Chamberlin also had 14 assists, eight digs and three blocks.
