PELLA — The Eagles snapped their eight-game losing streak to pick up their second win of the season on Monday night on Eagle Lane with their 41-29 victory over Albia.
The Pella Christian defense was locked in all night as they allowed a season-low 29 points. The Eagles led by two after the first quarter but only allowed three points in the second to go in front 19-9 at the break. They would then double that lead with an 18-8 third quarter to put them up by 20 going to the fourth where they would close things out.
PC forced 22 Albia turnovers and held the Lady Dees to just 29.7% shooting including 2-of-14 from three.
Karlie Anderson enjoyed a big night for the Eagles as she finished with 17 points including five made threes to go with three rebounds and two steals. Faith Kacmarynski added eight points, five rebounds and five assists while Karis Fikkert chipped in seven points, six rebounds and two steals off the bench.
Pella Christian (2-12, 0-7 LHC) return to conference play on Friday at 6:15 p.m. with a trip to Oskaloosa (7-6, 3-4 LHC).
