PELLA — The Lady Dutch wrapped up the regular season at home on a hot Tuesday night against Perry.
Pella used a five-run fourth to extend their lead from 2-1 to 7-1 on their way to the win.
Thea Wisse led the way with a home run and three RBIs while Ava Curry had two hits including a triple and two RBIs. Katie Pollock, Ella Corbin and Katie Scheckel all had one RBI. Saige De Jong picked up the win after pitching five innings and allowing two runs, one earned, on six hits and one walk.
Pella (13-21, 6-15 LHC) will go to Oskaloosa (11-21, 7-13 LHC) for the first round of regionals on Thursday at 7 p.m.
Pella 9, Washington 4
WASHINGTON — Pella came out with hot bats early on their way to a 9-4 win over Washington on Tuesday.
The Dutch used a five-run first to jump in front before the Demons would crawl back within one heading to the fourth. There Pella would extend their lead with four more runs in the inning.
Keegan Hansen was 3-for-4 on the night with one double and two RBIs while Tate Weesner was a big run producer with a double and four RBIs. Quinn Rhamy, Jason Knox and Jack Howard all had one RBI. Knox got the win after pitching two innings and allowing one unearned run on one hit with one walk and four strikeouts.
Pella (19-14, 11-10 LHC) finishes their regular season on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at South Tama (6-25).
