PELLA — The Dutch celebrated senior night with a bang as they found the net four times in the first half and six more times in the second half in their win over Pella Christian.

Austin Bone, Isaac Semini and Logan Solomon all had two goals for Pella while Geordie Laidlaw and Preston Rowe also found the back of the net. Teddy Apostolopoulos had a goal and two assists and Ike Held tallied a goal and an assist.

No. 4 Pella (13-4) will be off until Monday at 6:30 p.m. where they will host the winner of Fairfield (9-4) and Washington (9-5) in the substate semifinals. Pella Christian (2-12) will travel to No. 15 Mid-Prairie (9-4) on Thursday at 6:30 p.m for a substate quarterfinal matchup.

Girls soccer

No. 12 Pella 3, Pella Christian 0

PELLA — The Lady Dutch controlled possession on their way to a 3-0 shutout win over their cross-town rivals.

Pella found the net twice in the first half and another time in the second half while outshooting PC 17-1.

All three Pella goals came courtesy of an Abby Warner hat trick as her goal tally increased to 18 on the season. Lydia Zylstra had a busy night in net for the Eagles and finished with 14 saves.

No. 12 Pella (9-5) will travel to Winterset (6-8) on Thursday at 7 p.m. while Pella Christian (6-7) will make the trip to No. 8 Des Moines Christian (13-2) on Thursday at 4:45 p.m.

Grinnell 5, Oskaloosa 1

GRINNELL — The Tigers scored five times in the first half and didn’t look back as they snapped Oskaloosa’s two-game win streak.

Oskaloosa (4-7) will look to bounce back on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. when they host Des Moines North (2-11).
