OSKALOOSA — Fire Chief Mark Neff has completed his final shift at the Oskaloosa Fire Station this afternoon. Neff will be working for the State Fire Marshall's office.

The "10-42" announcement was made after 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17.

"From Oskaloosa Police Department, Mahaska County Sheriff's Office and other fellow responders across the county: We want to thank you for 24 years of dedication and your commitment to protect and serve the city of Oskaloosa."

A second announcement was made as well: "Oskaloosa Chief Mark has gone 10-42 for the final time as the chief of Oskaloosa Fire Department. Chief Neff, we wish you all the best as you start your next chapter in life."
