Encourage others to vote for Moore
I am writing this letter on behalf of Scottie Moore who is running for reelection to the Oskaloosa City Council. Between 1998 and 2009 while teaching at Oskaloosa schools, I had the honor of working with Scottie. She was then, and continues to be, a hard worker with high ethics, intelligence, and compassion. Scottie understands the importance of research in reaching decisions, and she is an excellent listener.
Scottie Moore has worked hard on the Council since January 2010. She has the experience, knowledge, and skills needed to be a good Council member. I plan to vote for Scottie Moore for Oskaloosa City Council, and I ask you to vote for her too.
Cast your vote for Lorentzen
I would like to encourage the people of Oskaloosa to vote in the upcoming city council and mayoral election. The council makes decisions that directly effect the people of Oskaloosa on a daily basis, and so it’s important for us to show up at the polls on Nov. 7. I would also like to encourage people to vote for Jeff Lorentzen as mayor. Jeff has lived and taught in Oskaloosa for 17 years and coached for 11.
He is involved in multiple community and school activities, and is devoted to not only his students but also the future of Oskaloosa. To that end, Jeff encourages community service with his students, not only by volunteering but also discussing and encouraging the qualities of citizenship throughout the year.
Every spring he sponsors a trip to Washington, D.C. for the students of Oskaloosa to see citizenship and government in action. Jeff is hardworking and truly focused on how he can best serve his community, and his dedication to Oskaloosa and service learning makes him a strong candidate for mayor.
These qualities will make him a good mayor for Oskaloosa and I encourage people to vote for him in November.
