PELLA — In 2009, Wayland native and Iowa State graduate Brian Meyer acquired his first SERVPRO franchise in the Iowa City/Coralville area. Since then, he has opened locations serving communities across the state, including Ottumwa, Des Moines and most recently, Pella.
“We’re excited to continue expanding,” said Business Development Manager Michele Presley, a member of Meyer’s team. “Having more locations and resources means SERVPRO can help more Iowans get back to normal after they’ve experienced an emergency.”
SERVPRO provides cleanup and restoration services to residential and commercial property owners in the wake of fires, floods and storms. SERVPRO also offers mold remediation, graffiti removal and a range of other general cleaning services.
In February 2020, they began offering a specialized viral pathogen cleaning program to businesses in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We’ve long handled biohazard cleanup jobs, so we had all the PPE and equipment at hand. We just had to adapt and expand our disinfecting protocols,” explained Presley. “If someone becomes ill, we can come in and clean to disinfect. We also offer preventative cleaning measures that bring down the viral load of a space. These are services we foresee carrying into the future, beyond COVID-19.”
In addition to cleaning and restoration, SERVPRO assists commercial clients with creating emergency response plans, at no charge.
“We are invested in preparation,” said Presley. “We want to help our clients plan so they are prepared to pivot and handle anything.”
The SERVPRO office in Pella is located at 1400 Washington Street. Operations Manager Matt Groenendyk and Marketing and Business Development Representative Mallory Adkins serve customers from this location.
They are assisted by IIRC-certified service teams based in Des Moines and Ottumwa. To contact SERVPRO Pella, call 641-931-5001 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
