Annual FFA food drive

Every year, Agri-Power hosts an annual food drive to help those in need during the holidays. Each fifth hour class had a race to see which class would bring in the most non-perishable items. The class that won was Mrs. Appel’s fifth hour independent study.

Paige Harter brought in over 230 items. There were 38 baskets. The non-perishable items were distributed between the baskets and then a ham was added to each. Four students delivered the baskets to addresses that were given anonymously to Agri-Power to help people in our community.

Agri-Power thanks those who donated and helped Agri-Power continue the annual traditional food drive, as well as those who gave names of places to deliver baskets.

Agri-Power Christmas Party

Before Christmas break, Agri-Power hosted a Christmas party for students in the ag room.

Many students got involved in the chapter’s Secret Santa and exchanged gifts with their fellow chapter members. Secret Santa gives some of the students an opportunity to get to know another chapter member a little bit better when picking out their gift.

Many students came in to decorate and enjoy some cookies as well. Agri-Power provided cookies for students to come in to decorate. Some students competed in the cookie decoration competition, the winners for junior high were Cheyenne Houk, Alex Steel; the winners for high school were Harrison Kargol and Kennedi Crosby.
