PELLA — Becky Ochsner, CPP of Becky Ochsner Photography, LLC in Pella has earned the Certified Professional Photographer designation from Professional Photographers of America.
Ochsner earned this designation after completing an intensive program that measures her artistic and technical competence. PPA currently recognizes fewer than 2,500 CPPs.
“Joining this level of photographers was about becoming better at what I do for my clients,” said Ochsner. “I was tested on lighting, posing, composition, color theory, data processing and all the way to print. Executing these concepts well creates consistently great images for my clients, and provides a top-level professional service for those that want quality for their families, farm legacies, and businesses.”
PPA is the leading organization for certifying imaging professionals. CPPs must complete a written examination, finish an image evaluation and adhere to a strict code of conduct. Certification must be renewed on a periodic basis, ensuring continued confidence in the professionalism of Certified Professional Photographers.
For Ochsner, this degree builds on her previous education, including a Bachelor of Arts in Ministry Administration & Education from Dordt University and a Master of Worship Arts from Calvin Theological Seminary.
“Each part of creating for a client, from the first conversation about the commission, to photographing, editing, ordering and installation, should work towards the end goal. As an artist, I believe that each step of the process impacts and builds into the finished product. Over time, the things we hang on our walls, live with and around, shape who we are becoming and what we are living for. I’m honored to impact my clients’ lives in a very transformational way,” said Ochsner.
Ochsner operates a full-service studio in rural Pella and serves families and businesses in southeast Iowa. Go to www.beckyoxphoto.com for booking information for Becky Ochsner, CPP. For more information on certification, visit PPA.com/CPP.
