LAKE RED ROCK — Join the Monarch Watch volunteer effort.

Volunteers will attempt to tag some of these unique butterflies as they pass through the Red Rock area during their fall migration data from tagged butterflies may be used to help searchers track the monarchs’ journey to Mexico.

The activity will be held on Saturday, Sept. 7 and Sat. Sept. 14 at 10 a.m. each morning at the South Tailwater Recreation Area. Please meet at the large picnic shelter. Long pants and closed toe shoes are recommended.
