MAHASKA COUNTY — Mahaska County Habitat for Humanity seeks willing hands to make houses. No experience necessary.
A gingerbread house contest, held in partnership with Main Street Oskaloosa, will raise funds for Mahaska County Habitat for Humanity.
Community members are invited to create gingerbread houses and bring them to Penn Central Mall. There is no fee to enter, and any amount of entries may be submitted. The houses will be on display from Dec. 5–14. The community will vote on the houses from Dec. 5–7. Each vote is $1.
The prize winner will be announced at Merry Little Downtown Christmas on Saturday, Dec. 14.
