Dutch Greeters welcome Tamory Hall

PELLA – Dutch Greeters officially welcomed Tamory Hall as members of the Pella Area Community and Economic Alliance (PACE).

Tamory Hall is a luxury event and gathering space in Historic Downtown Pella. Owner Spencer Carlstone and his wife, Amanda, launched the business in October 2019 after a four-year journey of renovations and searching for the perfect space.

“We tried to keep it as historical as possible,” says Spencer Carlstone.

The space has an elegant industrial feel with original brick walls, hardwood floors, warm yet simple colors and lights with plenty of character. The 9,000 square-foot space is large enough to occupy about 350 to 400 people and has the perfect Americana, small-town feel.

“Our heart really has been that this space would be a blank canvas,” says Amanda Carlstone. “We wanted the building to aesthetically speak for itself, but it’s not limiting to what it can be. We love for people to come up here and use their own creativity and bring into it what they want to bring into it. Whether it’s for weddings and events, photo shoots, corporate events or family reunions, we want it to be a gathering place for everyone.”

“Tamory,” meaning “the power of love,” was a word that came to the Carlstones through a movie they saw about the Lord.

“It’s a word that jumped out at me, and it just fit well for this space,” says Spencer Carlstone. “We’re looking forward to seeing what kind of stories are written here.”

The business is located at 616 Franklin Street, Suite 201.
