Noon–1 p.m., Breast cancer awareness walk around the Oskaloosa square. With $25 donation, each person will be registered for the walk and receive a t-shirt.

Noon–1 p.m., Critter Cafe at the Environmental Learning Center. For parents and young kids, homeschool families and daycare kids. Bring your lunch and eat at with the naturalist and a featured live animal, with a nature lesson

Saturday, Oct. 12

8–11 a.m., Oskaloosa Vendor Fair and Farmers Market at the Penn Central Mall parking lot near the urban skate park

10 a.m.–5 p.m., Rose Hill Fall Festival, sponsored by Rose Hill Community Church, at Rose Hill park. Enjoy car, truck and tractor show, children’s pedal tractor pull and hay rides.

10 a.m., Annual train show at Penn Central Mall, hosted by the Penn Central Mall Railroad Club.

5:30 p.m., VFW steak night, followed by karaoke with Spinnerz

6–9 p.m., Brews and Bigs, Big Brothers Big Sisters fundraising event at Debbie’s Celebration Barn, with NoCoast Brewery. Purchase tickets; cocktail attire.

11 a.m., Pleasant Corners Baptist Church, 7203 140th St., Eddyville, celebrates 158 years. Church service at 11 a.m., followed by a co-op luncheon and program at 1 p.m. featuring Alice’s Gospel Group.
