BRANSON, Mo. — The Braschler Family Gospel Reunion Show on Sept. 13 in Branson, Mo. marked the end of one of the longest runs for a Branson show.
The Pella community may recall the Braschlers performing at the Pella Opera House in the '80s and '90s, sponsored by the local performing arts organization. Tens of thousands of people from all over Iowa and Minnesota would drive to see the show, and over this time, they became lifelong fans of the show and the family.
The Braschlers' harmony and family-friendly shows mirrored life in the country at the time, and their wholesome entertainment was a welcome relief during the long Iowa winters each year. The Braschlers loved coming to Pella and stopping at Jaarsma's Bakery to take delicious goodies back to Branson.
Sadly, like many things, that chapter has ended, and this reunion show marks the end of an era. The Braschlers would like to thank all of the Pella-area fans who supported them over those many years and wish them all a fond farewell.
