OSKALOOSA — Members of the Oskaloosa Community School District Board of Directors met with Linda Book of GR Recruiting Nov. 23 to discuss a timeline and logistics on the district’s superintendent search.

GR Recruiting presented the board with a five-step process to hiring a quality candidate, starting with school board involvement to gain a better understanding of what each individual expects from candidates. Interviews with each member of the board will help to assess perspectives and create a profile for the perfect candidate, including a hiring timeline and salary offer.

That information will be used to create a marketing and recruitment plan.

A 28-item survey will then allow staff and public involvement in the recruitment process.

GR Recruiting will then screen all applications and determine which candidates fit the district’s requirements.

After a suggested application deadline of Jan. 31, 2022, GR Recruiting will meet with board members to discuss candidates who meet the district’s profile.
