KNOXVILLE — A bicyclist was riding on Highway 14 when he was hit from behind by a car.

The Iowa State Patrol said 52-year-old Stephen McDonald, of Jackson, Wyoming, died as a result of the collision. He was transported to the Iowa Medical Examiner’s Office.

The patrol states he was struck by a 2018 Hyundai Elantra driven by Tiffany Turner, 33, of Knoxville. Turner was not injured in the crash.

The bicyclist was on the right-hand side of the southbound lane of Highway 14, north of Knoxville. The crash was reported at 8:03 a.m. on Friday.
