KNOXVILLE — The Knoxville girls played host for a 4A regional quarterfinal on Wednesday as they welcomed Carlisle to town. Unfortunately for the Panthers, they would have a tough go at it as the Wildcats cruised to a 58-28 win.
Knoxville looked to hang around early but the pressure and defense of Carlisle proved to be too much for the Panthers.
Knoxville was held to 22% shooting and were 5-of-20 from three while turning it over 19 times.
Emma Dunkin was the lone Panther in double figures with 13 points, four rebounds, two assists and one steal. Hannah Dunkin chipped in six points and five rebounds.
With the loss, the Panthers will bid farewell to their lone senior in Charlee Heffron. Knoxville finishes the season with a 10-12 record.
