The South Central Iowa Solid Waste Agency landfill in Tracy will close to the public Monday, April 24 for maintenance and reopen Tuesday May 2.
Replacement of the landfill scale will disrupt regular operations, and the agency will not be able to weigh incoming loads of residential waste. The landfill will not accept waste from anyone without a charge account, so please plan accordingly.
SCISWA encourages residents to use curbside collection programs available in their communities during this time. The landfill will reopen for residential waste disposal Tuesday, May 2.
The SCISWA transfer station in Malcom is not affected and will maintain regular operating hours and procedures.
