KNOXVILLE — The Knoxville Panthers improved their conference record to 3-0 on Tuesday after going to Bloomfield and coming away with a 3-1 (27-25, 25-22, 17-25, 25-18) victory over Davis County.

The first two sets could’ve gone either way with Knoxville edging Davis County on both cases to take a 2-0 set advantage.

The third set went in favor of the Mustangs before the Panthers would bounce back to control to fourth set and secure the win.

Reilly Finarty led the Knoxville attack with 12 kills with Brittany Bacorn adding 11 kills and 14 digs. Tara Uitermarkt had eight kills and was a perfect 17-for-17 serving with an ace. Amy Sullivan was also a perfect 17-for-17 serving with two aces to go along with nine kills.

Marley McKay had 35 assists on the night to go along with 13 digs.

Defensively, Maggie Wilkins had a busy night with 35 digs while Emma Dunkin added 11 digs of her own to go with two aces.

Knoxville (8-1, 3-0 SCC) goes to Bondurant-Farrar on Saturday for a tournament starting at 9 a.m.
