KNOXVILLE — In their only home date of the season, Knoxville would pick up a pair of dual wins against Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont and Chariton before losing to Albia.

The Panthers opened up the night with a 54-30 win over EBF.

Knoxville gained four wins by forfeits while Tristan DeJong (152), Wayne Johnston (170), Daniel Gorskikh (126), Luke Spaur (132) and Andon Trout (138) all picked up wins by fall.

Knoxville then took care of business against a shorthanded Chariton squad that gave the Panthers six wins by forfeit.

Marco Alejo (113), DeJong (152), Kale Kincaid (160) and Gage Rowley (220) all nabbed pins for Knoxville.

The Panthers wrapped up the night with a tough dual against Albia, where they would fall 48-27.

Knoxville actually jumped in front 18-6 early with pins from Johnston (170) and Rowley (195) and a forfeit win at 182.

Albia would then quickly flip the script, winning the next six matches with five of those matches being six-point results.

Knoxville would add a 3-0 decision win by Spaur at 132 and a forfeit win at 138 but it wasn’t enough as the ended the night with the loss to the Blue Demons.

Knoxville will next head to the PCM Mustang Invitational on Saturday.
