GRINNELL — Despite less than ideal weather conditions on Tuesday, which featured 50 degree temperatures, rain and 15-20 mph winds, nine of Knoxville’s 26 runners had all-time best times in Grinnell.
The girls would take seventh as a team with 191 points.
Natalie Collins (24th, 22:49), Taylor Jones (34th, 23:39), Olivia Maasdam (43rd, 24:35), Jalen Nelson (44th, 24:36), Tanna Davis (46th, 24:44), Dani Johnston (54th, 25:26) and Faith Roozeboom (58th, 25:59) would all run and score for the girls.
The boys finished eighth as a team with 192 points.
Max Purvis (31st, 19:26), Kaden McGill (32nd, 19:26), Carson Irving (35th, 19:52), John Buttell (37th, 20:00), Henry Picard (57th, 21:15), Ethan Morgan (60th, 21:36) and Sean Collins (64th, 23:33) rounded out the Panther varsity lineup.
Knoxville goes to Oskaloosa on Tuesday on 4:30 p.m. for the Oskaloosa Invite.
