KNOXVILLE — Living Windows, Knoxville’s annual kick off to the holiday season, will be held on Thursday, Nov. 19.
The festivities will kick off with the annual tree lighting ceremony on the Marion County Courthouse lawn at 6 p.m. This year, the tree lighting will be virtual and can be viewed on the THRIVE Knoxville Facebook page.
Immediately following the tree lighting, Santa Claus will begin making “Santa Stops” at various locations around Knoxville, dropping off goodie bags for the kids. Watch for more information on the stop locations at a later date.
The town square, including many storefront windows and restaurants, will be open and decorated for the season. THRIVE encourages residents to follow social distancing guidelines while continuing to support local businesses.
New this year will be a lighted holiday display, Merry-N-County Christmas, through Marion County Park. Watch for more information in the upcoming weeks.
Living Windows is presented by THRIVE Knoxville, a non-profit organization that serves as an incubator, promotor and champion of local events and strategic action undertaken to intentionally improve the image, attitudes and perceptions of Knoxville on behalf of current and prospective residents, businesses, organizations and visitors.
