Deidre DeJear, who is running for governor of Iowa, will meet with voters at events in the Marion County cities of Pella and Knoxville.

DeJear will be joined at some events by local candidates for the Iowa Legislature, including Tyler Stewart, Lisa Fleishman and Joe Kerner. In addition to the public and press events, DeJear will meet privately with leaders in industry, business, education, health care and emergency services. This tour is organized by the Marion County Democrats in partnership with the DeJear for Iowa campaign.

Public events are as follows:

Tuesday, Sept. 6: Lunch Conversation at Smokey Row in Pella, 12-12:45 p.m.

Tuesday, Sept. 6: A Conversation with Deidre DeJeer at Maytag Student Center on Central College’s campus, 7-8 p.m. Stewart, who is running for Senate in District 19, will join DeJear. The opinions expressed will be neither the opinions of Central College or its Trustees nor sanctioned by Central College.

Wednesday, Sept. 7: A Conversation About Education and Other Issues with Deidre DeJear, Knoxville High School Media Center, 4-5 p.m. Special guests include Lisa Fleishman (candidate, Iowa Senate, District 11) and Joe Kerner (candidate, Iowa House, District 21).
