KNOXVILLE — The community is invited to view the newest art gallery in Knoxville in the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church’s parking lot.
The exhibit features illustrations of 10 parables (lessons) of Jesus, and it is free and open to the public. Visitors can drive through at any time, and the church is located at 1506 S. Attica Road.
”We are excited to provide an opportunity to interact with the Knoxville community in a way that is safe for everyone to participate equally, in light of the current pandemic,” said Rev. Joshua Feala, Pastor at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
Members of the church spent many hot days creating and painting the murals on the parking lot. Despite this, it was a great time for many members to connect who haven’t seen each other for a while. They are now excited to share their work with their community.
A brochure will be available to explain the meaning behind each mural.
Individuals who want to view the exhibit may need to hurry, as this exhibit is meant to be temporary. The longevity depends on the weather.
Good Shepherd Lutheran Church is a member of the ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America).
