6:30 p.m. Oskaloosa Women’s Connection’s annual fundraiser for Stonecroft Ministries. This event will be held at Central Church, located at 815 S. 2nd Street in Oskaloosa. Attendees can purchase a $12 ticket at the door and bring their favorite holiday baked good(s). A meal will be catered by Hy-Vee, and attendees can purchase items through a free-will donation. 7 p.m. Fifteen Garden Tasks to Complete the Year with Mahaska County Master Gardeners. Mahaska County Master Gardeners will be sharing informational garden tips recommended for November and December for lawn, fruit, trees and shrubs, flowers, houseplants, vegetables and herbs. The event is free and open to the public. Registration is not required to attend, but appreciated. Inclement weather will postpone the event. 5-7 p.m. The Tracy GEMS Girls Club will be holding their annual Turkey Supper Fundraiser at the Tracy Christian Reformed Church. Cost is a free-will donation, and all profits will go to support the local GEMS girls club.
5:30 p.m. The Jasper, Marion and Poweshiek (JMP) Early Childhood Iowa board will meet at the Foundation Offices in Ahrens Park, located at 1510 Penrose St. in Grinnell. A Zoom link is available on jmpeci.org. Board members will review the annual audit, discuss proposed policy changes for family support and legislative priorities for 2023. All meetings are open to the public.

12-1 p.m. Pella Professional and Business Women’s Forum at Central College Graham Conference Center - Graham 1. PPBWF is a networking and professional development organization for women in Pella and the surrounding area. Members meet the third Thursday of each month (except August) for networking and learning from featured speakers. Lunch is provided in the $12.00 guest fee. Visitors are welcome. 5-8 p.m. Living Windows Christmas Around the World on the Knoxville square. Participants will have the chance to donate items to be sent to soldiers overseas, attend a ceremonial tree lighting, see the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus and a snowball drop. Businesses will be open late for holiday shopping. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be located at the empty lot on Third Street by Gibson Jewelry.
Friday, Nov. 18
7:30-8:45 a.m. Exchange Friday at Smokey Row. This event takes place every Friday at 7:30 a.m., typically at Smokey Row in Oskaloosa, and is hosted by The Exchange for Entrepreneurs. This event is for those interested in starting a business; who have already started a business; have questions or concerns, new business thoughts or are just curious.
6-8 p.m. Merry-N-County Christmas at Marion County Park begins. This drive-thru lighted display will be held every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from Nov. 18 to Dec. 24. Admission is free-will donation, and credit cards are accepted. Bring your letters to Santa to put them in Merry-n-County Christmas’ special mailbox.
