KNOXVILLE — Authorities have arrested a rural Knoxville woman they say fled the scene of a personal injury crash in October.

Susan C. Visser, of rural Knoxville, has been charged with leaving the scene of a serious injury accident, a class D felony, according to a press release issued by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

At approximately 9:03 a.m. Oct. 22, the sheriff’s office responded to a hit-and-run collision involving a motor vehicle and a bicyclist east of Knoxville near the intersection of North Godfrey and Highway T15.

Police say multiple search warrants conducted by local and state investigators led to Visser’s arrest.
