PELLA — In 1979, Dick and Linda Bruxvoort opened a flooring store at 911 Broadway Street in Pella. For 37 years, Bruxvoort and his son, Duane, provided quality home products and excellent customer service to the town.
Now in 2021, Duane and his son-in-law, Trent Pingel, have opened Pingel’s Home Store—a new venture in the same Broadway Street storefront where it all began over four decades ago.
At Pingel’s, shoppers will find a quality selection of casegood furniture, upholstered furniture, mattresses, window treatments, carpet and hard surface flooring.
Pingel’s also offers custom, high-quality cabinetry, as well as quartz and laminate countertops. For chefs and barbecue masters, Pingel’s carries wood-fired, pellet and charcoal grills from top brands like Green Mountain and Weber.
For extra help in making a house a home, customers can set up a consultation with the in-house interior designer, Laurie Sereg. To round out their homeowner-focused approach, Pingel’s Home Store offers delivery services and flooring and window treatment installation.
“Three generations have operated a home goods store from this location, and our team has a combined experience of over 80 years,” said Trent Pingel. “We hope to bring great products to our community, but our true vision is providing caring customer service. We want people to feel welcomed, like we want to help them build their dream home — because that is what we do.”
Pingel’s Home Store is open from 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on Saturdays.
