KNOXVILLE — The Marion County Board of Supervisors discussed a plan that will improve several factors in the area.

The America Rescue Plan project, which costs up to $6.459 million, provides emergency grants used for conservation, emergency management, facilities, human resources, IT, and the road department.

The Board discussed how they would use $4.786 million out of the total for these projects.

During the regular session, they appointed Phil Groenendyk as the 2022 County Weed Commissioner.

Afterwards, the board authorized the Marion County IT Department to enforce multi-factor authentication for all county employees.

The next Marion County Board of Supervisors meeting on Nov. 9, beginning at 9 a.m.
