Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont made the most of its nine hits to score seven runs. Pitcher Nataliah Hopkins threw a strong game from the circle to earn the victory.
The Rockets opened the scoring in the bottom of the first with two runs. Both runs scored on Hopkins’ single. Cardinal came back with a singleton in the top of the third inning.
Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont responded with a line drive off the bat of Tasha Alexander. The shot continued her home run barrage this season. The Rockets went up 4-1 with a run in the fifth. Haegan Boyer and Alexander had back-to-back singles to start the fifth.
With two outs, Alexander then stole second and advanced to third on another Comet error before eventually scoring on a single by Jarrah Jensen.
