Oskaloosa wins 1, loses 1 at Perry Tournament

The Oskaloosa Herald

The Oskaloosa baseball team split a pair of games at the Perry Tournament on Saturday.
The Indians (10-4) lost to ADM in the first game 4-2 then toppled Perry 6-3.
“Both games were very well played, we just had a few free passes early against ADM ended up hurting us,” Oskaloosa coach Brandon Schmidt said. “We did bounce back with a win over Perry. We had a good week overall, which was shown by our team fielding percentage getting back over 90 percent.”
No one had more than a single hit in the loss to ADM. T.J. Boyle had a double and an RBI while Austin Redlich had the other run batted in.
It was a different story against Perry as Boyle, Nick Rutledge and Andrew Landgrebe all collected two hits as Skylar DeJong tallied twice.
