EBF spikers fall to Wolverines in 2A semifinal

CEDAR RAPIDS —

Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont's volleyball team saw its season come to an end in the semifinals Thursday at US Cellular Center.
The top-ranked and defending Class 2A state champion Dike-New Hartford swept the Rockets 25-14, 25-19, 25-12 to advance to the state championship match Friday night.
Karlie Taylor had 10 kills for the sixth-ranked Rockets, who close the season at 35-6. Tasha Alexander contributed five kills in her final high school match.
Briana Weber led the 44-1 Wolverines with 15 kills.
