Indians see grid season come to end in Class 3A playoffs

WASHINGTON —

Oskaloosa's attempt to reach the quarterfinal round of the Class 3A football playoffs was foiled by Washington Monday night at Case Field.

The Demons racked up 418 yards of offense while limiting the Indians to just 131 yards in a 42-7 victory.

Quarterback Daryn Seibelius and Tanner Knupp rushed for 93 yards apiece and three touchdowns between them to pace 10-1 Washington.

The Indians, who close the season at 7-4, averted the shutout on the final play of the third quarter on a 45-yard TD pass from Jesse VanDalen to Nick Rutledge.

Check Thursday's Herald for further details on the game.
