IMCA Frostbuster Week starts at Southern Iowa Speedway

OSKALOOSA — Opening night for IMCA’s Frostbuster Week sees four sanctioned divisions in action at Southern Iowa Speedway on Wednesday, April 3.

The evening’s IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modified feature pays $1,000 to win and is a qualifying event for the 2013 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot.

IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars run for $500 to win, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods for $400 and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $250 at Oskaloosa.

Pit gates open at 5 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5:30 p.m. Hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m.

Frostbuster specials follow April 4 at the Iowa State Fairgrounds Speedway in Des Moines, April 5 at Marshalltown Speedway, April 6 at Boone Speedway and April 7 at Benton County Speedway in Vinton.

The regular point season starts April 10 at Southern Iowa.
