With a win, Rempson would move on to face No. 3 Brady Beamon of Simpson (Calif.). Beamon, a sophomore who is 24-6, was second in the West tournament.
Scottie Bond, No. 10 nationally at 133 pounds (19-8 record), is the only Statesmen to receive a bye for the round of 32. His round of 16 competitor will be a tough one, though, as No. 6 Keaton Thomas of Lindsey Wilson will be awaiting.
