133-pounder Joao Vicente), one of two at that weight for WPU, will begin with a pig-tail match (round of 32) against freshman Kodie Cole of Concordia (Neb.). Vicente is 20-6 on the year and ranked No. 11 in the NAIA (placed fourth in qualifying), while Cole will enter Friday’s first session at 18-15. He placed fifth in the North Qualifying Group Tournament.
If Vicente advances in the championship bracket, he will get a stiff round of 16 bout versus senior Justin Brooks, the No. 2-ranked wrestler from Indiana Tech (17-3 record).  Brooks was the East Qualifying Group champion.
Brad Watsonhas probably the toughest pig-tail matchup, taking on #5 nationally-ranked Kyle Wilson of Great Falls (Mont.) at 141 pounds. A senior, Wilson is 16-5 this season and was runner-up in the West regional. Watson is currently 14-15 and was fifth in qualifying.
If Watson wins, he will take on No. 10 Colby Rinehart, a senior from Campbellsville (Ky.).  He owns a 19-6 mark and was third in the East qualifier.
Like Watson, Ishmael Rempson will also have to go through two ranked foes to reach the quarterfinals at 174 pounds. His pig-tail competitor will be No. 15 Erick Gomez, a junior from Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) who is sporting a 19-17 mark and was fifth in the East regional meet. Rempson, who was third in the Central qualifier, is currently 14th in the NAIA and has a 17-15 mark.
