Rocketsfinishes fourth at state dual team tourney

DES MOINES —

The top two teams in Class 1A were expected to wrestle for the top prize at the State Dual Team Tournament Wednesday night.
Second-ranked Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont did meet top-ranked Alburnett in the final match of the night, but it was for third place.
The Pirates recorded five pins in less than a minute in posting an easy 70-9 win over the Rockets.
Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont (28-3) rested all of its seven state qualifiers in preparation for Thursday's matches.
The lone wins for the Rockets came at 195 pounds as Jayce Riley pinned Colton Wood in 1:53 and Bryce Wursta had a 5-2 win ov er DJ Kohl at 285.
