Osky boys soccer team gets first win of season

The Oskaloosa boys soccer team notched its first win of the season with a 4-1 victory over Pella Christian Tuesday night.
Colton Berg scored the only first-half goal with Jakub Janous getting the assist.  
The Indians really clicked the second half adding three more goals. 
Janous scored two goals early in the half with Nick Waters assisting on one of the goals and Rogan Skutka added one later in the half as Scottie Yang getting the assist.  
The Indians played strong team defense led by Brady DeJong and Brett Ewing.
The junior varsity lost a close one to Pella Christian with a final score of 2-1.  
Pella Christian scored the first goal and then Dawson Sarver equalized the game in the second half. The teams stayed tied until the final seconds of the game when Pella Christian made its second goal.
Oskaloosa (1-6) is at Centerville Thursday night.
