Fourth-quarter scoring woes stop Osky girls

(Continued)

PELLA —

Kaisand said the key was Pella Christian’s ability to get the rebounds, particularly in the second half.
“The first three quarters were tremendous rebounding,” he said. “They hardly got anything. In the fourth quarter, they got a few and I thought that was really the difference.”
Tessa Howerzyl paced Pella Christian with 11 points as Lauren Jungling scored nine and the duo of Brooke Mitrisin and Hannah Beltman had eight points apiece. Beltman also had a monster game on the backboards as she grabbed 15 rebounds, blocked eight shots and added four steals for good measure.
Oskaloosa goes on the road Tuesday to face off against Grinnell.
